"Perestrelka v Lyublino" ("Duel in Lyublino") is Slava Trio's first single from their forthcoming debut album "Na Prityche 2", due out on the TOPOT label in early 2024.
Slava Trio is a mushroom bowl, where the main fly-flies of Moscow improvisation scene lie: Slava Burlakov (keyboards), Anton Kolosov (bass guitar) and Maxim Elizarov (drum machines, production). Stylistically, the band is often torn in different directions - it can get into deep chipuhouse, space jazz-techno fusion, or raw, unprejudiced hip-hop.
The single "Perestrelka v Lyublino" sounds like if Pasha Technik and Theo Parrish met in the mentioned Moscow ghetto, had a drink of butyrate and tussin+ and switched musical reference points - Technik starts to play house, Parrish - reading rap. The first track is dedicated to the great Pushkin: in it the poet's poems are read by Maxim Elizarov - in French. The single also contains two b-sides that won't be on the debut album: the blissful feathery ambient composition "Sakura Garden" and an existential underground hip-hop drama about a parish in Auchan, where MC Batya makes his debut as a goods labels reader.
Slava Trio is the way to the social bottom!
